A new freestyle from Jay Z and ever-burgeoning artist Jay Electronica was released this week. A bit of pop-culture relevance, this song is significant for several reasons:
1) It is a rift off of the same freestyle from Drake and Soulja Boy’s that we presented earlier this year
and 2) It references sensational talent (and new media darling) Lupita Nyong’o.
Also, there is the clever usage of HBO’s Eastbound and Down as the song intro.
Should we make anything of this Drake diss? How do the two songs compare? Regardless, as always, we are happy to see hip-hop have some fun!
