Unless you have been living under a rock, it has been nearly impossible to avoid the media coverage surrounding tonight’s live airing of The Wiz, the urban version of the popular Wizard of Oz movie. The Wiz, which was originally a Broadway play and later released as a film, remains one of the most revered productions despite the movie’s poor critical reception. One of the standout cuts was “Home,” which was originally sung by the amazing Stephanie Mills in the Broadway play in 1975 and later, in 1978, performed by the “boss” Diana Ross in the movie version. Other legendary vocalists who have covered the song include Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, and Kristin Chenoweth.

Peep both versions below and let us know which one you dig the most. And be sure to check out The Wiz Live! tonight on NBC. Learn more here.
