By now, anyone familiar with Watch the Throne‘s N-ggas In Paris, knows Hit-Boy’s handy work, which includes production of that insanely popular song. What you might not have known is that this producer, who has been in the game since 2006, when he was signed by producer Polow Da Don, is also an emcee. This new mixtape showcases his mic skills, which are unexpectedly clever and witty for a cat known for his productions. While listening to it, we were happy to hear such contemplative lyrics over killer beats. This album has momentum and urgency, which makes you want to hear more on the mic and off for this talented SoCal native. While not every cut will blow you away, this project has some serious club bangers and great album tracks certainly deserves your attention.
