Melanie Charles – “Gemini” [VIDEO] @melaniecharles

Last year, we saw soulful jazz singer, Melanie Charles, do her thing here in Brooklyn.  Not only does she have a great voice, but her personality really shines through when you see her perform.  She was recently featured on OkayPlayer. Peep this:

BK native Melanie Charles dropped the visual treatment for her spacey electric single “Gemini”. The enchanting songstress shows off her sound melodic sensibilities over a track that sports some drum programming and synthy sub-bass work that sounds more like Dilla‘s late electronic efforts or Stevie Wonder‘s 70?s smashes (somewhere between “You’ve Got It Bad Girl” and Onra‘s “My Mind Is Gone”)  FULL ARTICLE

From Melanie:

Gemini tells the tale of a young Pisces woman on the day of her Birthday. Looking for love, she is lured to a psychic stand only to find out that her ideal match is a Gemini. After an awesome surprise B-day party in Brooklyn, she meets an interesting character. Is he her Gemini?
