Tonight marks the season kick off of the 13th season American Idol (really, already?). America‘s top rated show since 2002 is returning again, hoping to find yet another star. And whereas we know America’s favorite doesn’t always happen to be the singer we hope for, we credit the show for bringing the likes of some greats like Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, Melinda Doolittle and Jordin Sparks. Now, we know you might not have the time to tune in every Wednesday and Thursday to catch the show, so we are announcing American Idol “soulwatch”!
The staff here at soulhead will be checking in with the show, keeping an eye out for all those contestants who are bringing us that good, soulful music that America needs to hear! Once voting starts, we will update you every Thursday morning with those acts, and will notify you if they were voted off. For now, as the judges hit San Francisco, Boston, and Austin over the next two nights to scout for any new acts, look for our weekly review on Friday morning to see who we’ve found so far.
