We brought you this UK singer’s 2011 debut earlier this week and had to do a bit more digging. soulheads Worldwide will be pleased with this discovery. Cherri Voncelle’s second project, Good Mourning Madame Rouge, is a bit more etherial than her previous effort, which was “glossier”. We appreciate this more contemplative approach, replete with much better lyrics. We love the opening track, 999, and enjoyed the tone of Cherri’s voice and the harmonies throughout. This is certainly worth your time. Listen and pass on.
