Issac Hayes – Before Barry White and Teddy Pendergrass, there was Isaac Hayes, whose music set the scene for romantic seduction on stage and off.

Midnight Star – Straight outta Kentucky, Midnight Star rocked the house and dance floor in the early eighties with irresistible songs like “Freak-a-Zoid,” and more.

EPMD – Pioneering rap duo EPMD blazed a trail in the late ‘80’s and early ‘90’s with a chart-topping brand of funky beats and their trademark monotone rapping style.
Lou Rawls – Lou Rawls commanded the stage, and scored hits with songs that ranged from blues to jazz to uptown R&B, in the course of a magisterial recording career that spanned five decades.

DISCO – In this ground-breaking two hour special, Unsung tells the definitive tale of an American phenomenon – disco and features two dozen musical performances and more from legendary disco performers.

Eddie Kendricks – Co-founder and lead singer of The Temptations. Eddie Kendricks’ sweet falsetto helped define that legendary group’s distinctive sound.

The Whispers – They are the group that once helped link legendary promoter and producer Dick Griffey with Soul Train impresario Don Cornelius, while crafting some of the most beloved songs of their era.

Mint Condition – Right from the start Mint Condition stood out from the pack with a sound that blended funk, rock, R&B and jazz.
