We have much love for Raheem DeVaughn not just because soulhead founder Ron Worthy is from the DMV, but because this brother has consistently put out quality soulful R&B and stayed true to his roots. His voice and delivery continue to improve as he hones his craft as a performer and song writer. This track, which was recently released, is an ode to those late night club moments when brothers just need one more slow song to convince his future wifey to hit the Waffle House. The only knock on this track is the auto-tune effects, which are minimal but distracting at times, especially for an artist with such a natural voice. That said, we dig this one and look forward to it hitting urban AC radio soon.
