We are pleased to bring you an incredible collection of tunes from the one and only Marvin Coleman AKA DJ Qool Marv AKA a true renaissance man and one of the best groove curators on the planet. Marv has a golden ear and stellar taste to match. He combines killer musical instincts with stellar technical precision to deliver unforgettable aural environments.
We are happy that we are able to deliver this small slice of his current residency in Harlem’s famed Red Rooster Restaurant, which is owned by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson. This live mix includes some of our favorites and several tracks we hadn’t heard. As we near the end of a long hot Summer, this set is a nice look back at its beginning. Enjoy.

At Red Rooster/Ginny’s I try to be congruent with the culinary adventures that Marcus Samuelsson encourages. There are familiar flavors and then there are flavors and combinations that are unheard of or unusual enough for one to feel like they are expanding their palettes when they experience them. Our sentiments exactly.
