Prince Sued for $700,000 in Unpaid Legal Fees by New York Law Firm

Looks like his royal purple badness may be in hot water…And we’re not talking about the infamous bath tub from the When Doves Cry video.   According to New York Daily News, Prince Rogers Nelson retained the services of Manhattan firm Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, who is suing the legendary musician, says he owes the firm more than 0,000 in legal fees.  The legal team  represented the “Purple Rain” megastar in  his divorce and in cases in Ireland, California and New York and says he came up short when it came to paying the bill.  The Manhattan Supreme Court suit says Prince, whose full name is Prince Rogers Nelson, paid only 5,000 for the firm’s legal services.

“Nonetheless, the Nelson Parties have failed to pay an additional 8,687.04  due to PBWT,” the suit says. “PBWT has repeatedly but unsuccessfully requested payment frm the Nelson Parties.”

We shall see how this plays out.  Good luck to Prince on this one. We hope the proceeds from his current tour will be enough to cover this.
