Adjust Your Color: The Truth of Petey Greene (2008) PBS DOCUMENTARY

Petey Greene Documentary

We thoroughly enjoyed this documentary on legendary radio DJ and personality, Petey Greene, who was the inspiration for [amazon_link id=”B000VNMMVQ” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Talk To Me[/amazon_link], a film starring Don Cheadle.  This PBS-Independent Lens project highlights the life, times and impact of this legendary figure who was known as much for his on-air magic as his off-air personality and his love of his hometown of Washington, D.C. (and soulhead founder Ron Worthy).  With  D.C. legends like Marion Barry, Chuck Brown, Sugar Ray Leonard and sports newsman James Brown weighing in among others, this is a must see.  Enjoy!

From PBS:

The unlikely story of America’s original shock jock who battled the system and his own demons during a time of civil unrest in the nation’s capital.
