Seal Destroys Prince’s ‘Mountains’ Live in Concert at The North Sea Jazz Festival October 7, 2011

Thanks to our tipsters for this one.  We are still pretty big fans of Seal, even though he was farely rude to us when we met him a couple weeks ago randomly on Broadway.  But we digress.  :-) Oh well.  In any case, we are still fans of his music but BOY, did he really sound out of tune and fairly hoarse on this live rendition of Prince’s classic ‘Mountains‘ from the Under the Cherry Moon album which also featured the classic, ‘Kiss’, among others.    I am actually amazed that Prince did not pull a…well….Prince on him and dropkick him like he did to Brownmark on an early 80s tour when he heard a bad note.  Wow.  This is pretty crazy.  Even with the lack of vocal performance by Seal, Prince and the gang sound pretty solid.

NOTICE: Look out for Prince’s face while everyone cringes at Seals singing!! He tries to hide behind John’s drums, lol; how must Seal have felt when Prince then starts again from the beginning. ouch!

Here is the original  in case you can’t make it out above:

We know you will dig these too:
